The Center for Single Molecule Biophysics seeks to better understand the physical basis of life by studying the individual molecules that comprise living cells. Researchers at the center are developing tools to measure and manipulate individual molecules.

The Mars Space Flight Facility in the School of Earth and Space Exploration designs and operates remote-sensing instruments on robotic planetary missions. The facility also houses the ASU Mars education program.
